Carpenter

Physical Plant
Responsible for performing repair work and new construction to ensure Carolina Meadows facilities is properly maintained in a safe and efficient manner. Additional duties include providing emergency response to residents, staff and guests. Minimum 5 years experience in carpentry and building maintenance, able to lift up to 75 lbs. and a current NC driver’s license with a good driving record is required. Experience with rough framing and finished carpentry required. Handyman experience strongly preferred.

Director of Dining Services

Dining Services
Seeking an experienced culinary professional who will be primarily responsible for overseeing the management and operations of all Dining Services. Additional duties include developing the annual capital budget, recruiting and development of new or current management staff and maintaining the highest level of dining services to all residents, staff and visitors.

Bachelor’s degree in Hotel or Restaurant Management or Business and Culinary Degree (AOS), 10 – 12 years of management experience in long term care, healthcare food service operations or hospitality management with a Certified Sanitation Manager certification preferred. Contract Food Service experience helpful at the District Management or multi – unit Director of Dining Services Level.

Must be knowledgeable in current state and federal health regulations, food operations and systems principles. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint. Must also be able to work proficiently with trade software such as ordering and menu programs.

Director of Nursing

Pines
Directing the overall operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with current state and federal regulations. Additional duties include overseeing scheduling of staff, budget proposal and supervisory roles. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with five (5) to seven (7) years long – term care nursing experience required.

Incumbent should be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high – quality verbal and written communication ability, strong interpersonal and leadership skills and be knowledgeable on general nursing principles and state and federal health regulations. Experience in or a strong commitment to person – centered care/culture change is required. Must be proficient in the operation of computer applications and have experience with electronic medical records (EMR).

Fairways Shift Supervisor

Fairways
Plans, directs, evaluates and supervises total nursing care and functions on assigned shift. Responsible for the general well-being of residents through the delivery of high quality nursing care, other duties as needed.

Two years nursing experience assisting elderly population and supervisor experience strongly preferred. Valid NC LPN or RN licensure required.

Hospitality Aide

Pines
Provides proper hydration to residents through hydration rounds. Serves as an escort to residents going to outside appointments as requested. Must be able to speak and comprehend English and lift up to 50 lbs. NC C.N.A. certification is also required.

Responsible for meeting the individual needs of residents as outlined in the resident care plan, monitors assigned residents for health status changes, assists in the process of medication preparation. Primarily responsible for directing and evaluating all resident care given by the nurses within the Carolina Meadows community.  Additional duties include administering disciplinary action, nursing care reporting and monitoring the Home Free System.  Graduation from and accredited School of Nursing, accompanied by current licensure by the North Carolina Board of Nursing with prior two to four years supervisory experience required.

Following residents through the continuum of care, providing support to the residents and their families, organize educational opportunities related to social issues, and moderate group and support sessions. BSW plus previous work experience required. MSW preferred.
