Provides necessary educational and learning opportunities that will assist personnel in gaining knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively. Seeking a creative and energetic individual to work in our memory care unit. This position is responsible for developing, planning and participating in a variety of activities that will serve the needs of our residents. Valid NC Drivers’ license and a team orientated attitude required. CDL license preferred.

Director Of Nursing

This position is primarily responsible directing the overall operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with current state and federal regulations.  Additional duties include overseeing scheduling of staff, budget proposal and supervisory roles.

Drives residents to medical appointments, shopping centers, banks and other establishments.  Assists residents who need help entering and exiting units, vehicles and or destinations.  Helps carry packages and shopping bags when necessary.  Must be able to load and unload large elderly persons in wheelchairs.  Other duties as assigned which may include assisting other departments as needed.  Requires valid NC Commercial Drivers License (Class C) with good driving record and ability to lift up to 75lbs. without assistance.

Bachelors degree in Nursing or graduate of accredited school of nursing or related field, two (2) to four (4) years of supervisory experience in an Assisted Living community and Registered Nurse license required, if applicable; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position is considered to be an essential position and is primarily responsible for ensuring the general well being of the Fairways residents through the delivery of high quality services and care and facilitating and overseeing of nursing projects care utilizing fair and objective judgment. This position is the supervisory head of the nursing staff within assisted living and overall building function and security while on duty.  Additional duties may include providing resident care as required.
