There’s something for all of our residents.

You’re Going to Need a Bigger Calendar

Activities, pastimes, amusements, hobbies, pursuits – call them what you will, if they draw your interest and energy, you will find an encyclopedic selection at Carolina Meadows. You can learn, play, relax, volunteer, compete, listen, advocate, hike, teach, debate…or none of the above. You are free to choose. It’s all in a day’s non-work in your new home.

Events and Activities Include:

  • Saturday night movies: Enjoy popcorn and revisit classics or screen potential future classics
  • MeadowSingers: Weekly chorus practice for fall and spring concerts
  • Art Guild: Paint in various media for display alongside other resident artwork
  • PlayReaders: Join a performance or propose your own script
  • Relaxing games: Gather for bridge, mahjong and more
  • Music at the Meadows: 20+ performances yearly by professional musicians

 You must be able to get up and down from the floor without assistance to participate in this class.

This class incorporates core work and stretching on the floor . It will also inlcude standing and seated exercises and uses resistance bands and free weights to help give you a full body workout. Level 2 is for moderate and advanced exercisers.

 

8:55-9:40 am; Heart Smart

This is an advanced level water aerobics class and includes a warm up, aerobic drills, stretching and range of motion exercises. Located in the pool.(Maximum participant capacity is 25 persons)

9:00 am: Pickleball (Tennis Courts)

This is a beginner to moderate level water aerobics class that includes a warm up, aerobic drills, stretching and range of motion exercises. Located in the swimming pool.

10:30-11:00 am Strength Training-Cancelled until further notice

This class uses free weights ( 1lb and up) and resistance bands to help maintain and increase muscular strength.

11:15 am- 12:00 pm Chair Yoga-Cancelled until further notice

 This class is designed for all levelsof yoga and focuses on poses in a seated or standing position with support of a chair, breath work  and guided relaxation. Beginners welcome! Located in the Fairways Gallery.

11:30 am-12:30 pm Level 2 Yoga-Cancelled until further notice

Level II Yoga is for students who are already experienced in yoga, and are comfortable lying down on the floor.  Located in the Exercise Studio. For sanitation purposes we reccomend bringing your own mat.
