Did you know that Carolina Meadows has a 166 acre campus? Life at CM is full of interesting sights within the campus, some man-made, some brought forth by Mother Nature. Now, a variety of Campus Tours allows residents and prospective residents the opportunity to become intimately acquainted with the beautiful campus. Four tours are offered and require sign up to reserve space. Consult sign-up book is on the table across from the Auditorium or contact Marketing at kaye@carolinameadows.net 1) The Bus Tour, narrated by a resident volunteer, takes place once a month. Rjders are taken around campus on a 17-passenger livery bus; additionally, they are taken to visit Governors’ Village Shopping Center off campus. Riders, who must sign up ahead of time, receive a printed map and tour script to help them recall what they have seen. The entire tour is conducted on the bus. 2) Personalized Tours are offered by volunteer tour guides who take individuals on walking or riding tours of preselected sites that are not visible from the Bus Tour. It is best considered as a complement to the Bus Tour. It allows participants so see up to 17 additional outdoor sites on the campus. Sign-up is required. 3) Health Care Ambassador Tours The tour covers facilities that offer high levels of care: The Fairways, The Green and The Pines. Also included are the Medical Clinic and rehabilitation facility. Each tour, which accommodates four residents, is conducted by fellow residents who are retired health care professionals. All CM residents are encouraged to take this tour. 4) Marketing Ambassador Tour of the Club Center is designed for Wait-Listed and Ready Reserve individuals, and other prospective residents of Carolina Meadows. Sites included consist of all the various administration offices, dining venues, Gift Shop and sports/exercise venues and library. This tour is not currently available to current residents but # will be added onto the Personalized Tour in the future.
