September has finally arrived, which means that here at Carolina Meadows, we’re going to be celebrating and learning about the county we live in. Each week during the month of September, we’ll be highlighting a certain aspect of Chatham County through an event or speaker.

Our first event will be on Wednesday, September 7, when we’ll hear from Dianne Reid, Executive Director of the Chatham County Economic Development Corporation. She’ll be reporting on the current status of economic development in the county as well as on recent census statistics. Join us at 2pm in the Auditorium for this enlightening presentation.

Mark your calendars now for the 2011 Community Outreach Fair, scheduled for September 14. With over 30 local agencies registered, this will be a great chance to learn about the important work these non-profit organizations are doing and about what types of volunteer opportunities are available. The Fair will take place from 10-12 in the Auditorium.
