Renovations to dining services launched in January, and already the residents at Carolina Meadows are seeing improvements in their dining options. The Club Center has switched from a buffet service during lunches and three weekly dinners to an a la carte experience for all meals.
Residents are now able to enjoy sit-down service during all meals. New introductions to dinner service include a pre-dinner wine bar, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and complimentary coffee and “sweet bite” following the meal.
“The complimentary offerings were originally designed to help manage waitlists for tables and to encourage prompt departures after dinner to free up tables for the next guest,” said vice president of dining services Mark Maxwell. “We have received many positive comments about the service helping to promote conviviality and a sense of community.”
The Club Center is still hosting our legendary monthly birthday dinners and theme nights like our Kentucky Derby celebration. The Dining Services team will be re-writing new menus to fine-tune the Club Center eating experience at the end of May to better serve residents during the renovation process.
Maxwell anticipates taking over a brand new kitchen and white tablecloth dining areas in September. The Pub, Bakeshop and Marketplace are expected to be completed by Spring of 2015 to finish off the renovations and give Carolina Meadows’ residents more options than ever.
