An article in today’s Chatham News/Record refers to the $50,000 Carolina Meadows is donating toward the cost of a picnic shelter, playground and walking trail for the county’s new Northeast District Park, which comprises 66 acres on Big Woods Road. A grand opening celebration is planned for tomorrow.

Carolina Meadows pledged $50,000 toward county parks in conjunction with removing a soccer field used by the county to make way for the East Campus expansion.

In September, President and CEO Kevin McLeod presented the county with the first of five checks for $10,000.

Carolina Meadows’ East Campus expansion is currently under way and will add up to 58 new villas to our campus.
