Curiosity helps Lila stay young by embracing intellectual stimulation.
A resident since 2012, Lila is a lifelong learner whose idea of heaven is having plenty of time to read and to think about the information she’s unearthed. She’s energetic by nature and as you’d expect, has always been a voracious reader. Lila has found Carolina Meadows especially stimulating, saying, “there are so many wonderful lectures – you can be busy from morning to night and meet wonderful people. There are people from all over the world here, and it is fascinating to learn about them and their countries.” When she’s not reading, Lila is discussing what she’s learned with others, and in between she performs her committee duties and participates in the many on- and off-campus social activities, which she says “could keep you busy 24/7. You can be as engaged or participate as much as you want.”
