Last year we joined the National Football League’s project for hunger relief in America. We are continuing to support this program now in its 20th year.

For every case of selected premium wine sold, the NFL donates 30 meals through their hunger relief program. Last year Carolina Meadows was credited for 843 meals through this effort. What is really nice is that all the meals donated through this program stay in our area and are distributed in North Carolina.

The program runs from September through November.  This year I will be featuring Columbia Merlot and Louis Martini Cabernet Sauvignon along with William Hill Chardonnay and Cabernet. It’s a win-win deal.  Our residents enjoy a glass or bottle of wine with their dinner and that helps feed hungry folks in our state.

I hope that everyone will enjoy these selections and in some small way we can continue to make a difference.

(Editor’s note: During Rob’s long career in food services he owned an upscale Italian restaurant in Houston,Texas for five years before coming to Carolina Meadows.)
